this is what i hope to be the first of weekly postings. i have been scared of jumping back into the photoblog game because of my lack of time, but i am pretty sure i can manage a photo a week. if not then i may just pack it all in (smile).

after such a long break i have realized that i miss writing just as much as i miss the process of shooting and processing photographs. i am not the most gifted when it comes to articulating and expressing my thoughts in writing and having a regular outlet like this helps keep me sharp. it also has a surprising way of bleeding out into the rest of my life, both personal and professional.

so, about this photograph. i was shooting a video yesterday morning and the lighting was so nice and moody i just had to snap a shot...glad i did. the location was ipsento, a neighborhood coffee shop i often work from. if you are ever in the wicker park/bucktown area i highly recommend you stop in and order the "ipsento" and get it "sassy".
