i have already failed miserably in my quest to post a photograph a week. that is not to say that i have not been shooting photos though...in fact it is quite the opposite. until today i have felt quite silly posting any of the photographs i have been shooting because of how and what i have been shooting with.

i have heard it said the best camera is the one you have with you and for a while now the one i have had with me most is built right into my iphone. with that said i will from now on be including what i will refer to as "digital lofi" photographs in my posts. this does not mean that i will not be posting my standard (non digital-lofi) work but that you may in fact see postings more often because of this new category.

i plan to enjoy my new freedom.

i shot this last june in the alley behind my apartment. chicago's alleys are full of amazing treasures and from spring to fall those treasures are in abundance. in fact there are some folks that actually make a living from driving up and down alleyways collecting "goods" to then sell or trade.
